Change brings uncertainty, but it also opens the door to possibility. It was through my biggest moves where I faced the greatest
challenges that I learned the most valuable lessons.
Starting over in Florida in 2001 felt like hitting the reset button all over again. Leaving Colorado wasn’t easy, but I missed the water too much. Growing up near the Baltic Sea in Poland gave me a love for the beach, the open air, and the sense of freedom that comes with it. Colorado had its mountains and plenty of friends we had made, but deep down, I longed for the coast. So, we packed up and moved to Florida, ready to begin a new chapter.
That move reminded me of the first time I had to rebuild everything from the ground up—the day we left Poland in 1990. My country was changing, and like so many others, we wanted a better future for our kids. When I was growing up, my father passed away when I was just 10. From then on, my mother raised me and my brother on her own, setting an example of real strength and resilience. I had to grow up fast, which led me to be very independent. It was a huge reason why I was willing to take a leap of faith and move our two young children across the world. I knew together, my husband and I would make it work.
When we landed in Colorado, I didn’t know a word of English. The kids adjusted quickly in school, and I enrolled in community college to learn the language, then continued to business college. College here exposed me to so many things we didn’t learn in Poland. Things like typing just weren’t part of the curriculum in college in Poland. But I was grateful for the opportunity to learn. Through the experience of adapting to a new home and culture, I gained resilience and discovered the courage to face uncertainty, confident that whatever I did, I would find my way.
By the time we moved to Florida, I thought I understood what starting over meant—but every move brings its own challenges.
In Colorado, I worked as a travel agent for a big corporation and enjoyed helping people plan vacations. After September 11, the travel industry changed overnight, and just like that, I had to reinvent myself again. That’s when I discovered real estate. I knew I loved homes and the idea of helping people find a place where they truly belonged. Friends encouraged me, saying I’d be great at it. So, in 2003, I got my license and began a career that would push me in new ways.
In real estate, every client brings a different story, and every transaction is its own puzzle. I’ve worked with first-time buyers, retirees, snowbirds, and even people purchasing homes sight unseen from other states or countries. They have to trust me completely, and when they finally walk into the house and say, “This is the one,” it makes all the hard work worth it. Over the years, the market has gone up and down, and I’ve had to adapt each time, but the goal has always been the same: guide people with care through one of the biggest decisions of their lives. The personal connections I form matter to me. I really enjoy being a resource that my clients can count on any time they need guidance, have questions, or just want to chat.
Our life in Florida has been incredible. We love boating, biking, barbecuing, and walking Luca, our black lab. I travel back to Europe when I can and often visit my kids in Colorado, where I still enjoy skiing and the cooler climate. My mom and brother live here in Florida, and with a small family, staying connected to them is very important to me.
Starting over twice—in a new country and then in a new state—wasn’t easy, but each transition taught me resilience and adaptability. Now, I use those lessons to help my clients embark on their own adventures, whether it’s their first home, a vacation property, or a big move!
Every real estate transaction is unique, and my goal is to make the process as smooth and
stress-free as possible. I provide full-servicesupport from the first conversation to closing. I pride myself on being responsive, honest, and approachable. My clients know I’m available, that I listen, and that I fight for their best interests. Real estate is never just a transaction—it’s a milestone. My role is to make sure you feel supported and informed, so you can focus on what matters most: starting your next chapter with confidence.
Sincerely,

Magdalena Paszkowski
